When did you first start shooting?
In elementary school, and then more intensively on the first trips across Europe, when the children were born, but I was definitely caught by a natural science photo after the first visit to the South African Republic and the visit to Kruger Park in 2004.
What sparked your enthusiasm for photography?
The ability to display your view on some topic and the possibility to share the images of the world that many people will never see live. I also very much enjoy experimenting in photography.
WHY THE PHOTOHUNT?
Nature and animal photography is associated with my travels and my admiration of nature. I try to show animals independently of stereotypes, since animals are similar to people - good, bad, happy, smart, silly, ... And the ones who underestimate or glorify them, see them too one-sidedly. I also like to show the invisible images, multiple exposures, long capture times, ultra short times, ...
At which locations around the world have you already been taking photographs?
In my eyes, the paradise is the sub-Saharan Africa, from Uganda to the South African Republic, the North and South America, Asia, ... I was in over 60 countries, and many more are still to be discovered.
Which animal do you prefer to photograph?
Any animal coming into a good lighting, that has that extra, something more, ...
What do you think is necessary to make a dream photo?
Patience and a huge amount of failed photos. Then you're on your way to something ...
What do you still want to photograph, but you have not yet done it?
Anything, just to make a good photo. I am not a hunter for as many different specimens - I want really good lighting, I am looking the magical light.
What do you think of Slovenia as a photographic destination?
A beautiful location, great opportunities for excellent photos.
